He came to renown in the mid-90s with his dance-fueled electronic hit, "Children," but since then, Italian artist Robert Miles has pursued a course of electronic fusion, mixing jazz grooves, rock guitar and world music elements into his electronic sound. He has a new album called Thirteen that's a study in post-electric Miles Davis ambient textures.

Less than a month now for the release of Robert's new album Thirteen!!
You can already pre-order your copy of the album on Amazon USA or Amazon UK.
There will be a limited edition of the album available only for the first 500 people that will buy it (on selected online stores).
In a couple of months Salt will be launching its new online shop where you will be able to download all our releases in various formats.
Seeing that here at Salt we love good sounding music and audio quality for us is a must..we will be offering the 24bit Studio Master version of Robert Miles's new album...for those that like listening to music in all its details (well different than what you get listening to an mp3!).

Many of you have asked for an extra few days in order to finish off their mix....so we are postponing the deadline to the 10th January 2011.
Thanks to the many that already have delivered their mixes! We have received some very interesting ones!
All will be revealed soon after the 10th Jan 2011, once we have reviewed all the submissions and find out who will be the two winners.

Reason being...we are now running a parallel contest together with Tracks & Fields from Berlin.
If Black Rubber is the track you wanted to remix then please check the widget on the right side and enter the competition!

Th1rt3en will be released on September 13, 2010. You'll have the choice to downlaod the album here in three different formats: studio master, mp3 and low res. Also, for those wanting the actual physical CD with artwork... we are putting together a limited edition of the album which will be available exclusively on the S:alt Records site!
Edits of some of the tracks included in the album are now available in the Discography section.
